D-roll laptop design turns notebooks into scrolls

Designer Hao Hua seems to have some very innovative ideas concerning the future of laptops. Take for instance the D-roll, or “digital roll,” that is “next generation laptop design.” The computer will no longer look like a notebook, instead it will resemble a scroll.
I don’t know if this is a real possibility, but Hua certainly put a lot of effort in the design. The D-roll will definitely be more portable and mobile. It will include a detachable webcam you could use on the computer or wear on your wrist and the straps function as places to plug in your USB devices. We’ll just have to see if the writer’s imagination turns into reality. Check out the images, the idea is quite novel.
